I'm originally from New York, more specifically, from Massapequa a suburb on the southern part of Long Island. I attended
high school at Berner High School. I didn't get around to going to college until I was 31 years old actually. Let's just say
that at the age of eighteen I left home and hitchhiked around the country.
I had read Jack Kerouac's book, "On
The Road" and decided to see what living on the road was all about. A year later when I was living in California I became
a member of The Unification Church. The Unification Church is a messianic religious
movement which claims that Sun Myung Moon, it's founder, is the
messiah. The fifteen years that I was a member of that church was a very profound experience for me and seminal for my spiritual
growth. However, while as a student at The Unificaton
Theological Seminary in Barrytown, New York I felt the need for more than Reverend Moon's teaching could give me so my
wife and I moved to Norwich, Connecticut where we have resided ever since enjoying our lovely property and relishing the fruits
of our labor, literally, actually, because of my wife's love of gardening. Our yard is resplendent with all sorts of fruit
trees which bear us delicious fruit during the pleasant summer months. It is here at my home where I love and long to be,
a place of peace and solitude.
So, to plug my book even more, "Tamara's Journey" is actually the culmination of all of those years within and without The
Unification Church that I spent in reflection to find out who I am and the purpose for which I was placed here on this Earth.
